At Happy Pets its all about love, kindness, cuddles and
long walks.
All current dogs that I look after are all Happy relaxed easy going dogs.
Not all dogs are suited to group walks so all dogs that come into Happy Pets will first have an assessment, if successful they
will then undergo a trial period to make sure they are happy, relaxed and mix well with the other dogs and people. I have strict entrance criteria, and only accept friendly, social
dogs,
Social
skills
All dogs must have basic training, recall, and must NOT in anyway be aggressive to other dogs,
people.
If they are toy possessive and have any issues with being towel dried, or bathed ( if muddy) please inform
me.
Your dog must be sociable and not aggressive in any way.
I will discuss your dog’s behaviour on a regular basis and if I feel that your dog is not settling in then I will try and work
with you and your dog to rectify the problem. However, I reserve the right to refuse or reject any dog that might be a hazard to itself or to other dogs or people in my care. This includes dogs who
are aggressive, antisocial, anxious etc.
Sometimes disagreements might happen, these will be quickly sorted but Happy Pets will not be held responsible in anyway for any
cuts, scrapes, bites and other body injurys, that might happen while dogs play with each other and on walks. By agreeing to come to Happy Pets you waive all rights to blame Happy
Pets.
Unfortunately, I cannot walk bitches whilst in heat and for 3 weeks.
Male dogs have to be neutered by the age of 12 months
Veterinary Care
and Fees
The owner is responsible for any veterinary bills incurred and details of your vet must be supplied on the initial visit. In an
emergency I will make every attempt to contact the owner and utilise the services of your own vet but reserve the right to make decisions without verbal consent to ensure the immediate welfare of
your dog. This may include taking the dog to the nearest veterinary practice and not necessarily your own veterinarian. Owners will be responsible for payment of any veterinary fees and agree to
reimburse Happy Pets within 48 hours.
Insurance
Happy Pets has Public Liability Insurance which covers walking whilst in my care; however Happy Pets cannot be held liable for
any loss, injury, illness, or death of the dog. It is recommended that owners will have their own full insurance cover.
I reserve the right to refuse a booking for any uninsured dog.
Should any legal or other claim be made against your dog or I regarding your dog whilst in the care of, the owner will cover all
costs.
Group walks
All dogs will wear a Happy Pets ID tag when in my care. Dogs must also have a suitable collar or harness and wear ID tags with
owner’s details. These must be in good working order and well fitting.
Vaccinations, flea and
worming
All dogs
must have current vaccinations (DHPPI).
Your dog must be microchipped. It is now a legal requirement.
All dogs are required to have flea and worm protection and be on veterinarian approved form of topical flea and worm control. Any
dog that has fleas will not be accepted.
