Im Helen. I’ve had a love of animals and being outside since I was a little girl when I had everything from gerbils, hamsters, guinea
pigs, tortoises, fish and birds (luckily the whole family loved animals too). My interest as a child led to me working with animals in jobs including being a stable hand at the Cockington
riding stables back in the 1980's to becoming a receptionist at Greenbay Veterinary Surgery in Chelston, where I worked for 5 years. I’ve worked as a volunteer at the Blue Cross Centre in
Torquay. Over the years I’ve accrued over 30 years experience with Cats and dogs.
I have a wonderful Working Cocker called Jasper who was and still remains my inspiration for Happy Pets Torquay. I love being with the
dogs on their walks and looking after all my furry clients when their owners are away on holiday.
I treat your pets like I do mine, always with lots of love and affection and the reward for me is seeing how all the dogs are so happy
and well behaved and responsive when we’re out on our walks together.
My love for animals has also motivated me to learn and develop as a pet carer too, so I can also offer you the reassurance of knowing
that I have a level 2 OFQUAL approved qualification in canine behaviour and welfare and I continue to develop as I currently work towards completing my OFQUAL approved Level 3 in 2020. I also
maintain my continuing professional development with canine first aid courses every year, ensuring that I really can offer you the peace of mind that your dog is receiving the very best
